Wow, great work on this page, VapOracle!

For the "Type" is there another description for this style? (Eterra/Aromazap/Pneuma/etc) Maybe "Can and Straw" or something.

We should get more info on "Also, the ceramic core resistor that heats the unit does not oxidize with use, so should theoretically stay functional for many years."

Ta! :)

Well, I'll get rid of 'Vertically oriented', since that's not totally relevant for the PD, since you actually inhale at an angle or horizontally rather than keeping it vertical. I quite like 'direct draw' as a method of inhalation, but am a bit worried when it comes to writing articles for vaporizers that can be used in several ways, like the HerbalAire or Extreme Vap. Maybe it's just worth having 'convection vaporizer' in 'type', and another part of the overview that lists all the ways it can be used - so in the case of the PD, you'd have direct-draw and essential oil diffuser..

Perhaps something like..

Overview

  • Type: Convection vaporizer
  • Usage Method (or something): Direct draw, aromatherapy diffuser
  • Heater type: 12Volt powered ceramic core resistor with stainless steel heat exchanger
  • Materials Used: Various woods (body), Stainless steel (heat exchanger, bowl), FDA grade #5 PP (vapor tube), leather (base), RoHS compliant (lead free) electronics,.
  • RRP: American Cherry $150, Tea Tree $175, Western Maple $175, Tasmanian Blackwood $185, Rose She-Oak $185. Other woods also available.
  • Manufacturer: Tom and Pam Lewis, Port Orford, Oregon, USA
  • Website www.purple-days.com
  • Also Known As: P-D, PD, The Enabler, My Preciousss

Also, I was thinking of adding a bit about the regular package contents (PD, US adaptor, car adaptor, 3 tubes, a tote bag, spent 'tobacco' bag, etc.), but I'm not sure if it needs it's own section or should go under 'description'. I'd kind of like to hammer out a definite template for the general layout of pages with the PD before I move on to doing others..

I'm a bit worried about writing too much about the ceramic core resistor/heater, since most decent vaporizers have them thesedays, and I dont' want it to sound like some super-exclusive feature that only the PD has. I originally just mentioned it to flesh the durability section out a bit.

Any thoughts? :)

This is an amazing vaporizer, once you purchase this amazingly quite and ordorless vaporizer. The taste that you get from this vape. is really really good. Ever since I bought it I have kept it pluged in 24/7 and the outside of it gets a little warm but nothing uncomfortable at all, perfectly safe to keep plugged in 24/7 I keep mine on my desk behind a few things and im going for stealth BIG TIME!!! Knowbody knows what it is because it is so well crafted it looks like something that would belong on a desk like a piece of artwork. It is also very good at conserving you herb and it gets the most out of them TRUST ME!! I was worried when I was looking that since it didnt have a temp control it would burn the herb, I can honstly say it NEVER burns the herb, after 3 hits it is done, and its still light greenish yellow, which is exactly how used herb is suposto look like. The vapes that Purple days makes will never burn because they put each unit through quality testing. So if you do get a vape that is not the correct temp which is highly unlikely you can send it back...also the couple that makes Purpledays vaporizers are Freaken awesome!!! Ive actully grown quite fond of them haha. They have the best customer sevice BY FAR!!! I highly recomend this product because first off its 150$ something of comparable quality would be the Volocano vaporizer which is much larger and has more moving parts this vaporizer will last a lonnnngggg time its made out of one piece of hardwood which will never break, and the interior components are of very high quality I could see one of these lasting over 15 years of everyday use. Best of all this has a Car charger so you can use it on the road or heat it up on the way over to a party of friends house, it has a 30 mins heat up time but that really doesnt matter if you plan ahead a little, and with the car charger its amazing. If you fall asleep with this vape on its perfectly safe. Another really neat thing about the Purpledays is the fact that its only the size of a soda can. I even thought of camouflageing it as a can, but didnt want to hide the beautifly crafted wood. Anways if any of you were having trouble choosing between the Exreme vaporizer and this I would recomend buying this first because it is half the price and this has much less stuff that can break and more portable because if you get this you will want to take it everywhere lol. Ive also read that you can buy a battery pack for it that goes to another vaporizer called the vapolution vaporizer. Anyways I have done probably 80 or more hours of research on vaporizers because I have a habbit of trying to find the best item there is for the job lol. But like I said I might still buy the extreme vaporizer because for large groups of people it might be a little better because the extreme has the bags, and the wip vap, as well as a larger bowl size. I love the Purple days vape because it conserves your herb so well each bowl is .05grams which is litteraly nothing, but it works very well usually takes me like 2-3 bowls to get me COMPLETELY gone normally I smoke either 1-2 depending on what im going to be doing. anyways hope this helps because I really know this would have helped me. Feel free to ask any questions. --VapOracle 21:07, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

I might get rid of External links, since both links mentioned are also in references. Any ideas on what could go in an 'external links' section?
